We are into a maximum of 300-400 years of the scientific method at work compared with thousands of years of human existence and thought. We have only barely touched on how our Universe (aka Creation) works, so I would say it is not wise to implicitly stick to the most fashionable metaphysical platform modern scientists have (or are assumed to pretend to have) and forget faith and spiritual domain altogether.
