Well-balanced view expressed here: Reflects my own opinion as well. I’d also added an attitude for growth here. Gifted individual may stick with fixed attitude for longer if something was always easy, which makes one with possibly less talent, but has growth attitude to achieve more.

Regarding “the Flow”, I’ve seen pieces, which argue achieving the flow is not always good due to false sense of productivity it gives if lasts too long. For best results, I have seen recommendations the Flow should be interrupted and higher-level reflection to be there in-between.

Could be nice to see more scientific evidence to make it more than opinion in grit vs talent discussion.
