CTMU comes to mind… We may be how universe learns. There maybe crosstime connections science does not fully understand yet. Wild suggestion what if dark matter travels back in time and takes some information with it? It does not interact that much because its not exactly here but on the other side of some 4d bottle so only gravity is felt. Learning needs feedback. Single learning universe unlikely without time loops. Just not enough time. Could also be interesting if laws and spacetime can emerge from simple cause-effect first principle. How learning can fit there?
